Society of Radiological Protection | Founders’ Medal

Congratulations to Dan Clifton-Climas, Radiation Protection Adviser (RPA), who was recently awarded “The Founders Medal” at the Society of Radiological Protection (SRP), Annual Conference and AGM in recognition of his contribution to radiological protection.

Dan is pictured (centre) receiving his award from SRP President Prof. Peter Cole (left) and Chairman of Web Committee & Former President John Broughton (right).

The Founders’ Medal is awarded annually to a younger member of the SRP who makes a significant contribution to radiological protection. Dan has been helping the SRP to evolve and improve engagement with members, including development of Forums that help SRP committees interact better, allowing better monitoring of communications between committee members. Over the last few years Dan has also presented regularly at SRP’s events on high profile projects such as: London Olympics, Border Force and more general presentations on Radionuclide Identification Devices.

Commenting on his award Dan said: “Everything I have done in my work at Nuvia, and presented on at SRP has been the result of working with a great team of RPAs in the delivery of these complicated projects.”
