Nuvia Invests in West Cumbria’s Rising Stars

West Cumbria is home to many talented individuals and Nuvia is delighted to be involved in recognising and rewarding the region’s children for demonstrating true entrepreneurialism and business flair.

The Centre for Leadership Performance is once again launching ‘Cumbria’s Rising Stars’ in aid of Cash for Kids and by taking part a Cumbrian school could win £1,000 donated by Nuvia. John Ball, Regional Director of Nuvia Limited said:

“As a significant employer and investor in West Cumbria, Nuvia is delighted to be supporting schools in their campaign to get youngsters engaged with business. Developing children’s interest in employment and their belief in their own abilities is a vital part of ensuring a prosperous future for them as individuals and their communities. Cumbria’s Rising Stars is an excellent way for us to support our talented youngsters and we are looking forward to sharing in some of their creative ideas.”

Each chosen school will be given £50 with one simple instruction – to make it grow to the highest amount possible through investment and creativity over the course of two months. Ideas could include investing in materials to make cards and crafts which are sold on or using the £50 to host a fundraising event. The possibilities are endless! All profits raised from the £50 will go to CFM’s charity, Cash for Kids, and help disadvantaged and disabled children across West Cumbria.

The Rising Stars 2014 programme is open to schools in Copeland and Allerdale Cumbria.

The selected schools will have until 12noon on Friday 25th April 2014 to make their £50 grow and grow.
